Mayor inaugurates NSS’ blood donation camp at MTB Girls’ HS+2 School

Agartala, September 01, 2023 – Dipak Majumder, the Mayor of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC), inaugurated a blood donation camp organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Maharani Tulsibati Girls’ HS+2 School on Friday. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Ratna Datta, Chairperson of the AMC Central Zone, the school’s Principal, teachers, and enthusiastic students.

Mayor Majumder, in his address at the inaugural ceremony, lauded the state’s remarkable achievement of leading the nation in blood donation. He highlighted the active participation of the state’s residents, including students from schools, colleges, and universities, as well as various clubs and social organizations, who have come together to organize blood donation drives in response to Chief Minister Dr. Manik’s call for blood donation.

Majumder emphasized the profound humanitarian spirit displayed by those donating blood, underscoring that there is still no substitute for blood in the world. He also commended the volunteers of the National Service Scheme, whose motto, ‘Not Me But You,’ perfectly embodies the selfless service they provide to the community.

The blood donation camp at Maharani Tulsibati Girls’ HS+2 School stands as a testament to the collective effort of the people of the state to contribute to the well-being of society by generously donating the gift of life.
