Agartala, 20th March 2025:   Allegations of fraud have surfaced against Bedika Credit Capital Limited Microfinance, leaving 28 customers from Madhu Chandra Chakma Para, Dakshin Takma, in distress. The residents accuse Rakhal Chakma, who claimed to be an agent of the microfinance company, of misappropriating funds.

According to local sources, Rakhal Chakma facilitated loan disbursements for the customers and collected monthly installments on behalf of the firm. However, during last year’s floods, customers struggled but managed to make timely payments. Despite this, Bedika Microfinance issued notices to all borrowers, revealing that the installments were not being properly deposited.

One aggrieved customer stated, “Rakhal Chakma took my Aadhaar card, claiming to update it. I later found out that a loan was approved and withdrawn in my name without my knowledge.” Another customer remarked, “Even after full repayment, we are receiving notices. He refused to provide valid payment receipts.”

Frustrated, the affected borrowers staged a protest at Bedika’s Shantir Bazar office on Thursday. However, when questioned, office staff claimed, “There is no manager present, and Rakhal Chakma is not an employee of this office.”

The incident has raised concerns among locals, who are now demanding the recovery of their money. Authorities are expected to investigate and take action against those responsible for defrauding these customers.
