Agartala, 11th February 2025:   A devastating incident took place in the Kamalasagar Konaban Panchayat area today, as miscreants set fire to a 30-kani rubber garden owned by farmer Haripada Deb and his brother Badal Deb. The blaze has caused extensive damage, reducing the garden to ashes and leaving the family in despair.

At approximately 2 PM, Haripada Deb received the alarming news that his rubber garden had caught fire. Rushing to the scene, he found the entire garden completely destroyed. The family members were overwhelmed with grief, with tears streaming down their faces as they surveyed the charred remains of their once-thriving rubber plantation.

Haripada and Badal expressed their deep concern about the future of their garden. “We doubt whether even a single tree in our garden will survive,” they lamented, estimating that the financial losses could run into several lakhs of rupees.

The incident was reported to Madhupur Police Station, and a formal complaint was lodged this afternoon. The head of Konaban Panchayat, along with other local leaders, visited the site to assess the extent of the damage and offer their support to the devastated family.

The community is shocked and saddened by this malicious act, which has not only destroyed the livelihood of the Deb family but also affected the local economy. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.

As the police begin their inquiry, the residents of Kamalasagar are left grappling with the aftermath of this tragic event, hoping for justice and a resolution to prevent such incidents in the future.
