Agartala, 8th March 2025 : A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Indranagar as a young mother, Priyanka Roy, passed away just a day after giving birth, leaving behind her newborn. Her family has blamed the medical services at GB Hospital for the tragic loss.
According to reports, Priyanka’s husband admitted her to GB Hospital on Tuesday. She underwent surgery on Wednesday and successfully delivered a healthy baby. Everything seemed normal, her husband stated. “I spoke to her last night, and she was fine. She didn’t mention any physical discomfort,” he recounted.
However, tragedy struck early Thursday morning when Priyanka suddenly developed severe breathing difficulties. Despite efforts by doctors to administer oxygen and take emergency measures, she could not be saved.
Grief-stricken, her husband alleged medical negligence. “This must have been due to a medical error or the negligence of healthcare professionals. There should be a thorough investigation to ensure such incidents don’t happen again,” he insisted.
The family has called for accountability, demanding answers and justice for Priyanka.
