Agartala, 27th July 2026 : A mysterious death of a 40-year-old man has created tension in Laugang Barua Para area under Santirbazar subdivision of South Tripura district.
The deceased has been identified as Tutan Saha, aged around 40. According to reports, Tutan returned home from the market on Sunday night like any other day and went to sleep in his room. However, when the door of his room remained closed till 8 am on Monday, family members grew suspicious.
Later, they entered the room through another door and found Tutan lying on the floor in an unconscious state. He was found unresponsive.
Local residents said that Tutan had been married earlier, but his wife had passed away. His family members claimed that he had no known disputes with anyone or any family-related issues.
After receiving information, police from Santirbazar Police Station reached the spot and recovered the body. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Police said the exact cause of death will be clear only after the post-mortem report and completion of the investigation. While the possibility of suicide has not been ruled out, police are also examining whether there was any other reason behind the death.The incident has cast a pall of gloom over Laugang Barua Para area.
