Agartala, 19th February 2025: A member of the National Commission for Women (NCW) Dr. Archana Majumdar visited Tripura today and met with Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor & MLA Dipak Majumdar. During her visit, Dr. Majumdar addressed various issues related to women’s safety and inspected the maternity department of the Government Medical College.
Speaking to journalists, Dr. Majumdar stated, “We have discussed all matters concerning women’s safety in detail. Ensuring the security and well-being of women remains a top priority.”
During her inspection at the Government Medical College, she evaluated whether pregnant women were receiving the necessary government facilities. “It is crucial that pregnant women have access to all available resources,” she emphasized. Dr. Majumdar also instructed officials to promptly address any problems identified during her visit.
