Agartala, 11th November 2024: In a significant move towards improving public transportation, Tripura’s royal scion, founder chairman of TIPRA Moth Party, and Member of District Council (MDC) Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarman inaugurated the TTAADC Express on Monday. The new fleet consists of 52-seater AC CNG buses, each equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure passenger safety.
“For over 20 years, we have had a transportation department at the TTAADC but no public transport. These buses will enhance our connectivity from ADC to the city and within our own ADC,” said Debbarman during the inauguration ceremony. He emphasized the importance of these buses in facilitating transportation for students, senior citizens, women, and the general populace of the state.
Debbarman expressed his optimism about the positive impact of the new buses on the community. “This will help our students, senior citizens, women, and overall the people of our state. I hope we can improve the area and seek all your cooperation so that we can focus on development,” he added.
The introduction of the TTAADC Express marks a significant step towards modernizing the transportation infrastructure in the region. The buses are expected to provide a reliable and efficient mode of transport, thereby improving the quality of life for residents.
The event was attended by TTAADC’s CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia, EMs and various dignitaries and local residents who welcomed the initiative. The new buses are seen as a much-needed addition to the region’s transportation network, promising to bridge the gap between remote areas and urban centers.
