Agartala, November 22. A Prati Ghore Sushasan and Bikash Mela was held in Longtharai Valley subdivision under the initiative of the subdivisional administration. The fair was aimed at providing various services and benefits to the people of the area. The fair was inaugurated by Chawmanu BDO Swapnajit Sarkar at Durgacherra Village Council ground.
The fair covered three villages of Durgacherra, Chalancherra and Makarcherra belonging to Chawmanu block. Stalls were opened by various departments such as Revenue, Social Welfare, Health, Education, Agriculture, and others. The stalls offered various certificates such as PRTC, STC, OBC, SC, etc. to the applicants. Hundreds of applications were accepted and many certificates were given immediately. The fair also provided information and guidance on various schemes and projects of the government.
Uttam Kumar Bhowmik, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Longtharai Valley, said that the fair was organized to ensure that the common people do not face any problem in obtaining any government documents and can collect certificates very quickly. He said that the main objective of the program was to bring the administration closer to the people and to solve their problems. He also said that good governance and development fairs will be organized in every house in various panchayats.
The fair witnessed a large turnout of people who expressed their satisfaction and gratitude for the initiative. The fair was also appreciated by the local representatives and officials who said that the fair was a successful and effective way of delivering administrative services to the people. They also thanked the SDM and the administration for organizing the fair.
