Pratima Bhoumik joins Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Kamalasagar & Mohanbhog

Agartala, December 02: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign to spread awareness about the various welfare schemes of the central government, in two assembly constituencies of Tripura on Saturday.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, which was launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to reach out to the poor and marginalized sections of the society and ensure that they get the benefits of the flagship programmes of the Modi government.

Bhoumik attended a function at Champamura of Kamalasagar assembly constituency in Sipahijala district, where she was the chief guest. She praised the Prime Minister for his vision and commitment to transform the lives of crores of people in the country by providing them with basic amenities such as electricity, water, gas, toilets, houses, health insurance, education and employment.

She said that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was a way of expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister and also of creating more awareness among the people about the schemes and their eligibility criteria. She urged the people to avail the benefits of the schemes and also to spread the word among their friends and relatives.

She also distributed various benefits to the beneficiaries of the schemes at the venue. The function was attended by a large number of people, including the local MLA Antara Deb Sarkar, Bishalgarh Block Chairperson Chanda Debbarma and other dignitaries.

Later, Bhoumik also participated in another function of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Mohanbhog of Dhanpur assembly constituency, which is also her home constituency. She reiterated her message of development and empowerment of the poor and appealed to the people to join hands with the Prime Minister to make his dream of a developed India come true. She also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of the schemes at the event.
