Pratima distributes aid, urges unity at Mohanbhog GP

Agartala, 22nd December 2025:   As part of the Tripura state government’s ongoing initiative to deliver essential services and welfare benefits directly to beneficiaries at the panchayat level, a distribution programme was organised today at Sajal Choumuhani under the Kalmakhet Gram Panchayat in the Mohanbhog RD Block.

The event was attended by former Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, Dhanpur MLA Bindu Debnath, Kalmakhet Gram Panchayat Pradhan Iman Hossain, Mohanbhog RD Block Chairman Srinibas Bhowmik, Vice Chairman Jitendra Das, BAC Chairman Basulal Noatia, and prominent social workers Dipankar Das, Dulal Mia, and Muslem Mia. Booth President Yusuf Nabi and various administrative officials were also in attendance.

During the programme, sports equipment was distributed among local youth to encourage physical activity and community engagement. Additionally, financial aid cheques, dustbins, Sintex water tanks, and other essential items were handed over to families affected by recent floods.

Addressing the gathering, Pratima Bhoumik emphasized the government’s commitment to grassroots development. “These provisions are being distributed for the welfare of the common people. To ensure their benefits reach a wider population in the future, collective effort and cooperation are essential,” she stated. She also urged local leaders, including the panchayat pradhan and deputy pradhan, to work in unity for the betterment of the community.

Many attendees expressed appreciation for the Kalmakhet Gram Panchayat’s proactive approach, viewing it as a commendable example of community-focused governance.
