Agartala, May 20, 2023: When the Agartala-Amarpur road was blocked for the demand of drinking water, the officials of the office could not be met, the leaders of the ruling party of the area rushed. Their words are finally unblocked. Allegedly, the people of Maharani area and Chichagariya area have been suffering from water shortage for several months. Many times the local Maharani Panchayat was informed but nothing was done.
Hence, on Saturday, Udaipur Maharani Hospital Choumuhani area blocked the road by the women force resulting in traffic jam on both sides of Udaipur-Amarpur road. People have to suffer in this. After the road blockade continued for some time, no right of the water resources department was found. Some leaders of the local ruling party rushed to the spot and talk to the road blockaders. The argument goes on for a long time. Finally the leaders promised to provide water to the area twice a day.
On the other hand, it is said on behalf of those blocking the road that there has been a water crisis for several months, but no representative of the local Maharani Panchayat has come forward to solve the problem.
