Agartala, November 16, 2023: A preparatory meeting held on Thursday at the conference hall of the Sepahijala District Magistrate marked the commencement of plans for the upcoming district-level youth festival scheduled to start on November 28.
Presided over by Supriya Das Datta, the Sabhadipati of Sepahijala Zilla Parishad, the meeting brought together key officials and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the two-day youth festival.
Present at the preparatory meeting were Additional District Magistrate JB Duatia, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Bishalgarh Rakesh Chakraborty, Joint Director of Sports Department Dr Bharti Nigam, Bishalgarh Municipal Council Chairperson Anjan Purkayastha, and other prominent figures.
The district-level youth festival aims to kick off with the inauguration ceremony scheduled for November 28 at Sachin Debbarman Sanskarti Kala Kendra in Bishramganj.
During the meeting, Sabhadipati Supriya Das Datta emphasized the need for active participation from the youth in the district-level festival. He underscored that the event would serve as a platform to showcase the various self-reliance schemes initiated by both the central and state governments. The festival, organized in collaboration with various departments, seeks to disseminate information about these schemes.
Sabhadipati appealed to government departments, private clubs, and social organizations to join hands in making the youth festival a success. Their cooperation, he highlighted, is essential in fostering self-reliance and resilience among the youth. The festival aims to empower the youth by promoting awareness and encouraging their active involvement in government schemes for their self-development.
