Shija Hospitals & IGM Hospital screen 20 children at Free Heart Camp, Agartala

Agartala, 28th April 2025:  Shija Hospitals & Research Institute Pvt. Ltd., Imphal in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Hospital, Agartala, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), National Rural Health Mission and the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Tripura successfully organized a one-day free Pediatric Heart Screening Camp today at IGM Hospital, Agartala.

A team of specialized cardiology experts from Shija Hospitals conducted comprehensive outpatient consultations and echocardiographic (ECHO) screenings for children from 10 AM to 4 PM. A total of 20 children were screened during the camp. Following diagnosis, these children have been advised of device closure procedures and will be visiting Shija Hospitals, Imphal, for further treatment.

The initiative aimed to facilitate early detection and management of congenital and acquired heart conditions, focusing on children exhibiting symptoms such as breathlessness, chest pain, unexplained fatigue, or poor weight gain.

This program reflects Shija Hospitals’ unwavering commitment to advancing early diagnosis and delivering high-quality cardiac care for children across Northeast India.
