Son assaults mother, hospitalized & accused absconding at Bishalgarh

Agartala, 10th May 2024: In a shocking incident that has gripped the Ghanimara locality under Bishalgarh police station, a mother was left in a critical condition following a severe assault by her son. The incident took place on Friday has sent ripples of tension throughout the community.

Aleja Khatun, a resident of Ghanimara was reportedly attacked by her son Zainal Abdeen and found lying in a pool of blood. Concerned neighbors who witnessed the aftermath promptly alerted the authorities. Responding swiftly, the fire brigade personnel arrived at the scene to administer aid. The victim was subsequently transported to the sub-divisional hospital for emergency treatment.

Law enforcement officials from Bishalgarh police station were notified and hastened to the hospital to investigate the matter further. Meanwhile, reports indicate that the son, after ensuring his mother’s hospitalization, fled the family home. The police have officially registered the case and initiated a comprehensive investigation, vowing to apprehend the suspect Zainal Abdeen at the earliest.

The grave nature of this domestic altercation has heightened anxiety among the locals, with many expressing concern over the safety and well-being of the victim. The police are calling for calm as they proceed with their inquiries and seek justice for the aggrieved mother.
