Agartala: August 27. In a bid to develop the communication system between Tripura and Bangladesh, the state government has said that the railway connectivity between the state and Chittagong of Bangladesh is going to be started by March 2023.
Source from state government informed that as the Tripura government has announced the air route to build all kinds of communication system from Tripura to Bangladesh, the railway connectivity will also be started soon. “The railway from Agartala to Chittagong is going to be started by March 2023 Also, to strengthen the communication system with Bangladesh, the Tripura government has started several bus services through Akhaura Integrated check post”, the source said.
He further informed that communication system is the main factor for the development of a state.“It is not possible to develop a state without developing communication”, he said.He further claimed that Tripura’s transport system has changed radically after the BJP government was formed in the country in 2014.“Also, the air communication system with Bangladesh will be started very soon. SpiceJet is going to be started the service from Agartala to Bangladesh. After speaking with the Spicejet airline, it is known that even if 50 percent of the passengers travel, the company will suffer a lot of losses. That’s why the state government has decided to pay Rs 15 crore viable gap funding”, the official said.
