STGT Protest: “Protesting won’t help” says Edu Minister

Agartala Jan 07: Fuming in anger as the STGT job aspirants blocked the vehicle of Education Minister here on Saturday, Ratan Lal Nath clearly said that nothing fruitful can be achieved by protesting.

For long days, the job aspirants under STGT-2022 batch have been roaming door-to-door of the ministers, staged several protests and also faced lathi charge of Tripura police.Highlighting the fact of acute shortage of teachers’ in state government schools and also vacancy of at least 6,000 posts, the STGT job aspirants are stuck with their demands of all together recruitment.

Saturday, the job aspirants once again  gheraoed the state education minister’s residence to press for their demand.However, as the minister came out of his residence in a car; in an attempt to have a talk with him, the qualified aspirants blocked his car on the way.

This added fuel to fire as Ratan Lal Nath busted in anger and rebuked the protesting qualified youths.He questioned why the gathered there or blocked the road as few days back he already detailed the proceedings.

Why have you people gathered here when we already had a talk just 3 days back and when the results have not been published yet?, he questioned.The minister cleared that by protesting nothing can be achieved.The security personnel later cleared the way for the minister.However, a section of job aspirants slammed the education minister for his changed statements as he earlier promised jobs to the aspirants.
