Agartala, 13th December 2025: A serious road accident took place this evening in the Sonarupasa area of Dharmanagar subdivision, once again highlighting the saying “Rakhe Hari Mare Ke”, when fate intervenes, survival defies the odds.
Locals informed that a speeding luxury car collided head-on with a motorcycle, leaving the rider identified as Subrata Nath, a teacher at South Gangannagar SB School, with minor injuries. Nath, a resident of Kadamtala, was returning home from school when the accident took place.
The impact threw him off his motorcycle, while the car lost control, rammed into a roadside house, and overturned. The driver fled the scene immediately after the crash. Despite the severity of the collision, Nath escaped with relatively minor injuries. Doctors will determine the extent of his condition after further medical examinations.
Fire service personnel rushed to the spot following an emergency call and rescued the injured teacher, who was then taken to North Tripura District Hospital at Dharmanagar. Meanwhile, Dharmanagar police have launched an investigation into the incident.
