Three Bangladeshi nationals held in Ambassa

Agartala: September 27. Government Railway Police (GRP) on Tuesday detained three Bangladeshi nationals from Kanchanjunga Express in Ambassa when there were en route to Bangalore.

As per an official of GRP, the three Bangladeshi nationals were identified as Md Rubel, Md Akbar Molla, and Md Halim.Tripura shares an 856 km long international boundary with neighboring Bangladesh.

“During preliminary interrogation, they have informed that Md Halim sent his wife and child to Bangalore for earning two years ago. This time Halim along with two other people named Rubel and Akbar Molla entered India late last night without passports and then went to Agartala railway station by auto around four in the morning. From there, they had a plan to go to Bangalore with Kanchanjunga Express, but the police of Ambassa GRP police station arrested them on acting on a tip-off”, said Ranjit Bardhan, Officer-in-Charge of Ambassa GRP police station. The three arrested will be produced in court on Wednesday. A case was taken against them.
