The budget outlines significant healthcare initiatives, including a Critical Care Block at Dhalai District Hospital, trauma care centres, maternal and child health wings, and AYUSH-based interventions under the new “SUPRAJA” program. Roy also announced the establishment of an Ayurvedic Medical College in Gomati and a Homoeopathic Medical College in Agartala, each with 60 seats.

“Healthcare is a fundamental right. We are expanding facilities to ensure every citizen has access to quality care,” he stressed.

On infrastructure, he announced the construction of 117 RCC foot bridges, new town halls, and multipurpose community halls. “Connectivity is empowerment. These projects will bridge gaps between rural and urban Tripura,” he said.

The Finance Minister unveiled ambitious plans to position Tripura as a digital hub, including the development of Agartala AI City, regional startup hubs, and a Cyber Security Operation Centre. He also announced the launch of the Mukhyamantri Antarjatik Kormosangstan Prokolpa to facilitate overseas employment for nursing, ITI, diploma, and graduate students.

“A Drone School and a Foreign Language School in collaboration with Ramkrishna Mission will open new doors for our youth. Tripura’s young minds will compete globally,” Roy declared.

Roy reiterated the government’s commitment to sustainability, announcing solarization of government buildings under PM-SURYAGHAR, strengthening of embankments, and drainage upgrades to mitigate urban flooding. “We are building a resilient Tripura that can withstand challenges of climate change and urbanization,” he said.

Concluding his speech, Roy said: “This budget reflects our vision of a prosperous Tripura—where education, healthcare, technology, and sustainability converge to create opportunities for all. Together, we will build a state that is modern, inclusive, and resilient.”
