Tripura police rescues minor boy and girl of Udaipur from Uttar Pradesh

Agartala, 9th August 2025:   A minor boy and girl who fled from the Kakraban police station jurisdiction in Udaipur subdivision have been successfully traced and rescued, according to local authorities.

The incident took place on July 16, sparked tension across the Kakraban area prompting swift intervention by law enforcement to prevent further escalation. Kakraban Police registered a case under number 35/2025 and launched a detailed investigation.

Speaking to reporters late last night, Officer-in-Charge Jayanta Malakar confirmed that the minors had been tracked using mobile tagging technology. Their movements spanned across Uttar Pradesh and later Bangalore, complicating the search efforts.

With assistance from Uttar Pradesh Police, Kakraban officers were able to locate and retrieve the minors from Faridpur, Uttar Pradesh. “Both individuals are underage, and as per legal protocol, they will be presented before the Juvenile Court,” OC Malakar stated.
