Agartala: August 17. The Twipra Students’ Federation (TSF) a wing part of Northeast Student Organization (NESO) on Wednesday held three hours long sit in demonstration at Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala demanding seven charters point of demands including repealing of Citizenship Amendment Act and implementation of inner line permit.
While speaking with reporters the president of TSF Biswa Kumar Debbarma said, “Today Twipra Students’ Federation of Tripura staged a three hour long sit in demonstration at Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala. We have seven charters point of demands among these our main demands are repealing of CAA, provide constitutional safe guard to indigenous people of Tripura, to take action against illegal immigrants by identifying them and implementation of inner line permit”, he said.
He further said that TSF have also demanded to solve the unemployment issues among the indigenous people, setting up Medical colleges, Technical colleges and universities in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, and total repeal of Armed Force Special Powers Act (AFSPA) which he claimed is now clamped in some remote villages of the state.
