Two Bangladeshi bike lifters held in city

Agartala: May 22. Tripura police has arrested two Bangladeshi bike lifters and seized a bike from Agartala city.Speaking on the matter, Sadar SDPO Debaprasad Roy said on May 20 one bike has gone missing from Harjan Colony of Ramanagar in Agartala city.

“Soon after the owner of the bike registered a complaint the police personnel alerted the all the border outpost and BSF personnel as most of the bike smuggle to Bangladesh. Due to the joint operation by BSF and Tripura Police we have recovered the bike and two Bangladeshi bike lifters”, said the SDPO.

He said that the two Bangladeshi bike lifters were identified as Md Junu Mia of Kalikapur, Akahura and Kalam Miah, Dhaynabandhi of Bangladesh.

“We are suspecting that some local bike lifters are also involved with them. And further investigation is on”, he added.
