Agartala, 21st August 2026 : A delegation of Vidya Bharati paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Tripura on Thursday and extended an invitation to him to attend the organisation’s upcoming Vande Mataram Programme scheduled for September 25.
The delegation comprised Dr. Pawan Tiwari, Organizing Secretary, Vidya Bharati Purvottar Kshetra; Yogendra Singh Sisodia, Prabhari, Vidya Bharati Tripura; and Dr. Nilmoni Chakraborty, State Coordinator, Vidya Bharati Tripura.
During the meeting, the delegation invited the Governor to grace the programme as the Chief Guest. Around 1,000 students are expected to participate in the event, which will focus on fostering national consciousness, patriotism and the spirit of Vande Mataram among the younger generation.
The Governor graciously assured the delegation of his presence as the Chief Guest at the significant programme.
The courtesy visit was marked by cordiality and encouragement, with discussions highlighting the importance of nurturing patriotic values and national consciousness among students through educational and cultural initiatives.
Vidya Bharati expressed gratitude to the Governor for accepting the invitation and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting education alongside values that encourage patriotism, social responsibility and a sense of national unity among young learners.
The Vande Mataram Programme is expected to bring together students in large numbers to commemorate and promote the enduring spirit of the national song among the younger generation.
