Vidya Bharati’s five-day teacher training camp begins in Tripura

Agartala, May 10: Vidya Bharati inaugurated a five-day teacher training camp at Tripureshwari Vidya Mandir in Gandhigram under West district with a vision to enhance pedagogical skills and improve educational outcomes. The program commenced on May 10 and will continue until May 15 attracting around 75 teachers from Tripura and Mizoram. 

The inaugural ceremony witnessed the presence of Swami Matrimayananda Puri Maharaj of Ramakrishna Ashram, Ranirkhamar and Dr. Shankar Roy, National Vice-President of Vidya Bharati. Addressing the gathering, Swami Matrimayananda Puri Maharaj highlighted the indispensable role of education in shaping society. He commended Vidya Bharati’s efforts, stating, “Education is the backbone of a progressive society, and organizations like Vidya Bharati play a crucial role in nurturing the future generation. Their commitment to holistic learning deserves immense appreciation.” 

Echoing similar sentiments, Subhash Gan Chowdhury highlighted the collective responsibility of ensuring accessible and quality education for all. He asserted, “Every child deserves the right to quality education. It is our duty to create an environment that fosters knowledge, skill development, and a strong value system. Only then can we pave the way for a prosperous and enlightened society.”

In the presidential address, Vidya Bharati President Prof. Milan Rani Jamatia reiterated the organization’s unwavering commitment to educational excellence. Encouraging participants to fully utilize the training, she remarked, “This camp is a platform for teachers to refine their skills and adopt innovative teaching strategies. The knowledge gained here must translate into impactful contributions in classrooms across the region.”

The training program has been structured to empower teachers with contemporary pedagogical techniques, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Through interactive sessions and skill-building exercises, educators will be equipped with effective teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement and academic performance. 

Vidya Bharati’s initiative highlights its dedication to teacher development and its larger mission of providing holistic education. With its focus on capacity-building, the training camp is expected to bring significant improvements to the education sector in Tripura and beyond.
