Wife’s disappearance leaves father and children in distress at Kalapania, Melghar

Date:

Agartala, March 21: A tragic incident has taken place in the Kalapania area, where a distraught father approached the Melaghar police station holding his five-year-old daughter and two-year-old son. His wife had disappeared leaving him to shoulder the responsibility of their two children alone.

Pradip Sutradhar, the husband revealed his heartbreaking ordeal to reporters. “Seven years back, I married Ankita Kar from the area near Dhausikla Hatchery in Kakraban. We now have a daughter and a son, but my wife has abandoned us not once, but twice before this,” he stated holding back tears.

Sutradhar pointed fingers at his mother-in-law accusing her of causing discord in their family. “It was her influence, her evil spells that tore apart our happiness,” he alleged. While his mother-in-law is reportedly in Chennai, his father-in-law has remarried and is currently settled in Assam. The separation of Ankita Kar’s parents had also reportedly added tension to the family dynamics.

Meanwhile, locals have expressed sympathy for the two young children, who are now left without their mother. Questions have been raised about what led Ankita Kar to leave her family behind, with speculation of extramarital affairs swirling in the air.

Desperate for answers, Pradip Sutradhar lodged a formal complaint at the Melaghar police station. “Wherever she is, I plead with her to think of our children and come back home,” he appealed.

The incident has left the locality shaken and highlighted the emotional toll on young children caught in family disputes. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
