Youth’s deadbody recovered at Badharghat area

Agartala, 14th December 2024:   The body of a youth was found in a pool of blood with a bike in the back of a lorry causing a sensation throughout the Badharghat area. The Amtali police station promptly recovered the body and sent it to the hospital for an autopsy. The police have initiated an investigation registering a case of unnatural death.

A family member of the deceased identified the young man as Ripon Deb. “Ripon was returning home after work at night. His home is in Sundar Tilla, Simna, but he has been living at his uncle’s house in Madhyapara, Hapania since childhood. Ripon was the only child of his parents,” the family member said. He further added, “At around 2:30 am yesterday, we received news that Ripon was lying in a bloody state in the Badharghat area. We immediately rushed to the spot.”

The Amtali police station officers also arrived at the scene upon receiving the news. However, the circumstances surrounding Ripon’s death remain unclear. The police have seized the lorry involved in the incident but have yet to locate the driver.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene transported Ripon to Tripura Medical College and Dr BRAM Teaching Hospital at Hapania, where doctors declared him dead. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover the details of this tragic event.
