Agartala, 11th January 2025: The body of a 26-year-old man named Nitish Dubey has been recovered from a pond near Baganbazar High School under Kalyanpur police station. The recovery has caused a stir in the locality.
Nitish Dubey had left his home four days back without informing anyone. This morning, locals spotted his body floating in the pond and immediately alerted the Kalyanpur police station. Responding swiftly, Officer-in-Charge Tapas Malakar and Sub Inspector Anjan Debbarma arrived at the scene and retrieved the body, which has been sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Authorities have yet to confirm whether the incident was a suicide or an accident. Police sources indicate that Dubey frequently left his home unannounced and had been missing for the past four to five days. Interestingly, his family had not reported his disappearance to the police.
