Brazilian President speaks with PM Modi, expresses solidarity with India in fight against terrorism

 Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi today and expressed support and solidarity with India in its fight against terrorism.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal in a post on X said:

“President Lula de Silva of Brazil @LulaOficial called PM @narendramodi and conveyed condolences at the loss of lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India.

‘He expressed support and solidarity with India in its fight against terrorism. PM thanked President Lula for his condolences.

“The two leaders reiterated their commitment to strengthen India-Brazil bilateral strategic partnership.

“PM conveyed his best wishes for Brazil’s successful Presidency of BRICS this year.”

The call by the Brazilian President comes in the aftermath of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were brutally gunned down, and India’s response in executing cross-border strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
