Kejriwal issues order for its govt from ED’s custody

Date:

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday issued directives for the government from the Enforcement Directorate’s custody.

He issued an order to the Water Ministry to address the water and sewerage issues in Delhi.

Addressing a press conference on Kejriwal’s note, AAP leader Atishi said, “Even in this situation Arvind Kejriwal is not thinking about himself, but the people of Delhi and their problems. The work of Delhi won’t stop; it will keep on going,” she said.

“I want to tell the BJP that they can arrest Arvind Kejriwal, put him in jail, but they cannot confine his love and responsibility,” Atishi asserted.

She further reads out a note written by Kejriwal that states, “I am concerned about significant issues with water and sewerage in some areas of Delhi. Even if I am in jail, people should not suffer a bit because of this reason.”

“As summers are approaching and there is a shortage of water in some areas, arrangements should be made for an adequate number of tankers,” Kejriwal said in a note.

He asked the Minister to instruct the Chief Secretary along with other officials to ensure that there is no inconvenience to the public, and the issues of the people should be addressed immediately and appropriately.

“If necessary, seek support from the Lieutenant Governor as well,” Kejriwal added.

On March 21, Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with money laundering linked to the excise policy case.
