“Narendra Modi this time would be the weakest PM”: Tejaswi

Date:

Leader of opposition in Bihar assembly and a prominent leader of the India bloc in Bihar, Tejaswi Prasad Yadav said that Narendra Modi would be the weakest Prime Minister this time.

On social media ” X” Yadav said on Tuesday that the government this time is on crutches and said that Modi would prove to be the weakest Prime Minister.

Taking a dig at the portfolio distribution, especially to the Ministers from Bihar who took oath in the Modi government, he alleged that the people here have been rattled.

The portfolio allocated was less important compared to the role of Bihar, the RJD leader said adding that the Alliance partners of the NDA could have bargained in a better manner for the portfolios in the Modi government.

Bihar played a larger role in the formation of the new government but the ministers representing the state have been rattled in terms of portfolio distribution, he alleged.

Portfolio distribution undoubtedly was the prerogative of the Prime Minister who should have accorded adequate attention to a state like Bihar, the RJD leaders said.

Yadav said that the opposition emerged strongly after the declaration of the results of the Lok Sabha elections as BJP fell short of the majority in the parliament in a larger dimension due to which the union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was under crisis.

Raising the issue of special status to Bihar, Yadav asked JDU, one of the prominent Alliance of NDA, with its 12 MPs should take a lead on the issue. He further said that the position of Bihar this time was quite strong and under such a scenario the MPs representing the state in the Union Cabinet should prominently discuss the special status issue.

Demanding the conducting of the caste census at the national level, Yadav said that Modi 2019 had promised it but surprisingly during his campaign in the recently concluded elections maintained mysterious silence on the issue. He also asked the MPs from Bihar to vociferously take up the issue before the union government.

The RJD leader hoped to enhance his party’s tally by four times in the next elections adding that there was only one MP of the opposition from Bihar in 2019 but this time the strength has increased 9 and RJD has emerged as the largest party in the opposition block.

He said the opposition this time was strong and would force the government to remain transparent in governance otherwise threatened to raze the government to the ground.
