BRICS Games: J&K fencer pockets bronze medal in team event, makes nation proud

 Jammu and Kashmir fencer Ajay Kumar, who is among Indian squad, have won the bronze medals in the team event at the BRICS Games underway at Kazan, Russia.

As per the official information received here, ace Epee Fencer from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Ajay Kumar has earned laurels to the nation by winning bronze medal in Epee Team Event in BRICS Games.

Notably, Ajay Kumar has also won medals in both the last edition of Senior and Junior National Fencing Chamionships.

Besides, he also represented the country in many international events like Asian Championship, Senior and Junior World Cup compensations.

Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, has congratulated and applauded the dedication of the fencer and his in the BRICS Games.

She has assured that the J&K Sports Council has left no stone unturned in promoting sports across the Union Territory and also congratulated parents and coaches of the fencer for his outstanding performance.
