Jasprit Bumrah, who reportedly returned to India ahead of the ODI match against Nepal in Asia Cup, announced on Monday the birth of a baby boy named Angad.
Taking to Instagram, Bumrah said, “Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world.”
“We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it,” he added.
Bumrah married renowned television broadcaster Sanjana Ganesan in March 2021. He also shared a beautiful picture of the three holding hands on Instagram.
Bumrah’s romance was kept under wraps unlike his teammates Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya who were forthcoming in their relationships with celebrities Anushkha Sharma and Natassa Stankovic.
The first piece of information was out in the public domain when Bumrah was released from the squad ahead of the fourth Test match between India and England in Ahmedabad. Days later, the pictures of his wedding went viral in social media.
Bumrah’s teammates could not attend the wedding ceremony due to Covid restrictions.
News on Bumrah went into the cold storage as he was out of action for a year due to a stress fracture. Sanjana too disappeared from her broadcasting duties.
