Budget session of 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly begins, Pranajit places budget for 2025-26 FY

The 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly has officially commenced its budget session for the financial year 2025-26. The session, which began on March 21, is scheduled to continue until April 1, marking a significant period for the state’s legislative and financial planning.
In a pivotal moment of the session, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy presented the budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The presentation took place in the esteemed presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, who also serves as the leader of the house. Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen presided over the proceedings, ensuring the smooth conduct of the session.
The event witnessed the participation of the cabinet members, the treasury bench, and the leader of the opposition Jitendra Chaudhury. Additionally, MLAs from various parties, such as the Tipra Motha Party, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), and the Congress, were in attendance, reflecting the diverse political representation in the assembly.
This budget session is expected to address critical issues and lay down the financial roadmap for the state, with debates and discussions anticipated to shape the policies for the upcoming fiscal year.
