Agartala, 20th March 2025: The 2025-26 Financial Year’s Budget Session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly is set to begin tomorrow, running until April 1. Ahead of the session, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha convened a meeting with all legislators today.
Taking to Facebook, Dr. Saha wrote, “The 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly’s Budget Session 2025-26 is all set to commence tomorrow. Ahead of the Budget, I chaired a meeting with the Legislators of Bharatiya Janata Party, Tipra Motha & IPFT at my official residence & discussed various important matters.”
Earlier, on March 12, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting was held at the Tripura Legislative Assembly, chaired by Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen. Following the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath informed that the session would begin on Friday, March 21, and conclude on April 1.
“Since this is the budget session, both supplementary and revised budgets will be presented. We in the treasury bench aim for extensive discussions to benefit all. In the future, we may consider extending the assembly sessions further,” said Minister Nath. He further added that the budget will be presented on the first day, followed by the Question Hour. While some government bills may be introduced, clarity on the matter is yet to be established.
