Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has departed for Indonesia on his first international visit since winning re-election. Albanese on Wednesday evening flew to Jakarta to meet with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.

In a statement prior to departure, Albanese said that he and Subianto would discuss the close relations between Australia and Indonesia and how the bilateral relationship can be deepened.
