Two suspects arrested, stolen car and bike recovered by Amtali police

Agartala, 28th August 2025:    Tripura Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the theft of a Maruti car and a Pulsar motorcycle, successfully recovering both vehicles along with an additional unregistered motorbike.

According to police sources, the Maruti car was stolen from the Badarghat-Dukli area on August 25, while the Pulsar bike had gone missing on June 21. Following separate complaints lodged by the vehicle owners at Amtali Police Station, an investigation was launched.

During the probe, officers apprehended one suspect and, based on information obtained during interrogation, recovered the stolen car and an unregistered motorcycle late Thursday night. Subsequently, two individuals identified as Suku Mia of Boxnagar and Wasim Mia of Matinagar were taken into custody.

Charges have been formally registered against the duo under relevant sections of the law, and they are expected to be presented before the court within the stipulated timeframe.

Speaking to reporters this evening, Officer-in-Charge Paritosh Das stated that several other names have surfaced during the investigation. “Those identified are believed to be directly involved in vehicle thefts across Amtali and surrounding areas,” he said, assuring that all culprits will be brought to justice following due process.
