Agartala, 22nd October 2025: A career counseling program focused on skill development was organized today at the conference hall of Government Degree College, Khumulwng, Tripura West under the PM Usha Scheme. The initiative was spearheaded by the college itself, aiming to equip students with practical knowledge and guidance for future career paths.
The event was presided over by Dr. Subrata Debbarma, Principal-in-Charge of the college. It witnessed active participation from a diverse group of attendees, including distinguished dignitaries from various sectors, faculty members, and students.
The sessions offered valuable insights into food and nutrition, mushroom cultivation techniques, and personal development strategies. Among the key resource persons were Dr. Maibam Baby Devi, Scientist at KVK Belbari, ICAR (NE Region), who delivered a lecture on nutrition, and Arati Debbarma, President of Luku Hamkrai Resource Centre, Belbari, who shared practical tips on mushroom farming.
Pradip Debbarma, Assistant Professor and Organizing Secretary, along with Maharani Hrangkhawl, Assistant Professor and Convener of the program, also played pivotal roles in coordinating the event. Several other faculty members and experts were present, contributing to the program’s success.
