Agartala, 20th February 2026  A major road accident in Teliamura’s Nayanpur area today left three young men critically injured, sparking tension in the locality.

Reportedly, the collision occurred around midday when a motorcycle and an auto-rickshaw crashed head-on on the Nayanpur–Moharchhara road. Witnesses said the impact threw the three riders off the bike, leaving them severely injured.

The victims have been identified as Ramu Sarkar (19), Subrata Debnath (34), and Sagar Biswas (20). Locals alerted the fire service, but responders reportedly arrived late. In the meantime, a concerned citizen rushed the injured men to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital in his own auto-rickshaw.

Duty doctor Dr. Pronoy Das provided initial treatment but later referred the trio to GB Hospital in Agartala as their condition deteriorated.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident. Preliminary medical assessments suggest the youths may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
