Tripura Minister Santana Chakma attends Brahmaputra Board Review Meeting at Guwahati

Agartala, 19th May 2026:  Tripura’s Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma attended the 14th Meeting of the High Powered Review Board of the Brahmaputra Board held in Guwahati, Assam.

The session was graced by the presence of Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of Jal Shakti Shri C.R. Patil, and Minister of State for Jal Shakti Shri Raj Bhushan Choudhary.

During the deliberations, Minister Chakma highlighted the importance of revitalizing and protecting Tripura’s river basins through critical blueprints and developmental frameworks. She emphasized that the state’s focus remains on accelerating vital water resource projects, enhancing ecological balance, and driving economic prosperity through sustainable river rejuvenation.

Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of the Central Government, she noted that collaborative efforts between the Centre and the state would play a transformative role in reshaping Tripura’s landscape and ensuring long-term benefits for its people.
