Agartala, 15th June 2026: In a significant step toward improving citizen access to government services, the Dharmanagar Municipal Council has organized a three-day ‘Public Welfare Camp’ from June 15 to June 17, aimed at delivering essential services directly to the people.
The camp was formally inaugurated on Monday morning in the presence of Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty, Municipal Council Chairperson Mitali Rani Das Sen, Vice-Chairperson Manju Nath, Executive Officer and SDM Debjani Chowdhury, along with councilors from various wards, officials from multiple government departments, and other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA and municipal representatives emphasized that the initiative seeks to eliminate the inconvenience faced by citizens who often have to make repeated visits to government offices. They noted that the camp is designed to ensure hassle-free access to a wide range of public services under one roof.
During the three-day programme, officials from various departments will be stationed at the venue to accept applications, process requests, and facilitate the prompt delivery of services. The camp is expected to cover key areas such as healthcare assistance, social security schemes, and issuance of essential government certificates.
The initiative has received an enthusiastic response from the public, with a large number of residents participating on the very first day. Authorities expressed optimism that the camp will significantly enhance service delivery and strengthen the connection between the administration and the community.
