Agartala, 1st July 2026: A delegation comprising administrative officials and municipal representatives conducted an extensive inspection of key projects and potential development initiatives in Santirbazar on Wednesday. The visit aimed at ensuring comprehensive urban development and modernization of the municipal area.
During the inspection, the team reviewed ongoing construction of the Santirbazar Mini Stadium, the new motor stand project, the old motor stand premises, several city roads, drainage systems, and proposed sites for new market stalls. The initiative seeks to strengthen infrastructure, improve traffic management, and create a better environment for local traders.
The delegation included Santirbazar Municipal Council Vice Chairman Satyabrata Saha, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tarun Kanti Sarkar, PWD SDO Prabir Baran Das, Block Development Committee member and social worker Debashish Bhowmik, social worker Amal Debnath, among others. They emphasized that multiple projects would be implemented swiftly to benefit both residents and the business community. Special focus is being placed on market modernization, improved drainage, and streamlined vehicular movement.
Local residents and traders welcomed the initiative, expressing optimism that planned development will enhance the beauty of Santirbazar, expand business opportunities, and significantly improve civic amenities.
