Agartala, 8th October 2026 : In a political development in the Silachari area of Tripura’s South district, Nilrani Mog, a former CPM member associated with Shilmara Panchayat, has joined the Tipra Motha party, stating that she took the decision voluntarily.
Speaking in a video message, Mog said she had come to the Silachari RD Block and decided to join Tipra Motha on her own initiative, expressing her willingness to cooperate with the party.
A Tipra Motha representative said Mog had earlier been the party’s candidate in the Ailmara Village Committee under the Silachari RD Block and had now joined the party “of her own volition.”
Welcoming her into the party, the representative said Tipra Motha’s doors were open to people from all political backgrounds. He specifically appealed to workers and supporters of the CPM, BJP, Congress, IPFT and other parties who were interested in joining the party.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the Silachari RD Block as a border area, he stressed the need for collective cooperation for the development of the region.
The representative said the party would welcome anyone willing to work for the development of the area and urged those interested in joining Tipra Motha to come forward without hesitation.
