Agartala, 11th October 2026 :The recovery of an unidentified body from the Manu Ghat Bridge area under Sabroom police station triggered a sensation in the locality on Sunday.
According to sources, local residents spotted the body floating in the Maru River beneath the bridge and immediately informed the police. Acting on the information, police personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
The body was subsequently sent to the morgue for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death. However, the identity of the deceased remained unknown till the filing of this report.
Sources indicated that the authorities had also received information about a missing person. Police are investigating whether the recovered body is connected to the missing person report.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. The incident has created considerable tension and curiosity among local residents.
