Agartala: August 04. Pradesh Congress President Ashish Kumar Saha has expressed deep concern over the rising cases of dengue in the state and demanded urgent measures to address the situation.
In a press conference held today, Saha emphasized the need for improving health services in district hospitals to prevent referrals to the main hospital. Saha highlighted the shortage of health workers and doctors in the state, urging the government to take concrete steps to address this issue and enhance healthcare infrastructure.
The Pradesh Congress President also criticized the lack of a proper water drainage system in Agartala city, leading to increased mosquito infestation even during the day. “Residents were not benefiting from the smart city cover drain due to this problem and so I am demanding immediate action to rectify the drainage system in Agartala to curb the mosquito menace”, said Saha.
Saha said, “The Health Minister must take swift and effective action to combat the dengue outbreak and provide immediate relief to the affected citizens. The health department should closely monitor dengue cases and ensure that no patient succumbs to the disease. Necessary preventive measures should be implemented promptly”.He demanded the government and the corporation to collaborate in resolving these pressing health and infrastructure issues and asserted that with timely and coordinated efforts, the region could effectively combat the dengue menace and improve overall public health.
