Agartala, 15th December 2023: In a shocking incident that unfolded in the quiet town of Kalapania under the jurisdiction of Sonamura police station, a man named Abdul Haque, aged 37, lost his life in a brutal attack.
The incident occurred in the late hours when Abdul Haque, son of Soleman Miah, went to the residence of his elder brother Jamal Haque in Tamsabari. After sharing a meal with his brother, Abdul Haque left for Tamsabari on his motorcycle. Tragically, as he passed by the house of Mir Hossain, he was accosted by Mir Hossain and two others.
The assailants wrongfully detained Abdul Haque and attacked him with a dagger, inflicting serious injuries. Despite immediate efforts to rush him to Sonamura Hospital, Abdul Haque succumbed to his injuries on the way. Details emerging from the investigation reveal a grim backstory to this incident. Three years prior, Abdul Haque had married Mir Hossain’s first wife, and it appears that the motive behind the attack was a revenge plot that unfolded three years later.
Tripura acted swiftly, managing to apprehend the three individuals involved in the heinous crime. The detainees include Mir Hossain and two accomplices, who are now in custody pending further investigation.
