NLU Tripura organizes three days work shop on Moot Court Training

Agartala, 15th December 2023: The Moot Court Society of National Law University Tripura organized a three-days Moot Court Training Workshop for the first batch of newly admitted B.A.LL.B. students. The workshop which has started from 13th December, concluded on 15th.

 A renowned mooter, Chevening Scholar, and currently practicing lawyer Rishabh Dheer who completed his LL.M. from Cambridge University conducted this workshop and provided lessons in legal research, drafting and oral advocacy. The workshop featured a blend of theoretical and practical sessions where he discussed about various ways to deal with moot problems, research and preparation of memorandum, tailoring the arguments, applying law in specific scenarios.

It is pertinent to mention that the National Law Universities have a prolific Moot Court culture and have long standing tradition of excellence in mooting. Through this workshop National Law University Tripura has exhibited its commitment to that culture which is seeking to equip aspiring lawyers with requisite skills and knowledge to excel in the world of mooting. The workshop was envisioned by Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Pratap Singh, Vice-Chancellor. Dr. Nachiketa Mittal, Registrar and Dr. Debasree Debnath, Assistant Professor of Law and Faculty Advisor for Moot Court Society were instrumental in successful completion of this workshop.
