Agartala, 12th November 2024: The 35th Tripura Industry and Commerce Fair will kick off on January 29, 2025, at the International Fair Grounds, in Hapania of Agartala city running until February 12. T
This was announced during a preparatory meeting chaired by Minister of Industry and Commerce, Santana Chakma, held at the Secretariat. The minister emphasized collaboration and innovative approaches to make this year’s fair particularly engaging.
Director of the Industry and Commerce Department, Vishwashree B, detailed the department’s preparations, underscoring a focus on the service sector, including information technology, tourism, hospitality, and logistics.
Additionally, key industries in Tripura, such as rubber and bamboo, will be highlighted, showcasing the state’s unique industrial strengths. Special features such as a food court, theme pavilion, and cultural programs managed by the Information and Culture Department are planned to enhance the visitor experience.
Prominent attendees included West Tripura Zilla Parishad Chairman Balai Goswami, Agartala Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Monika Das Dutta, Tripura Industry Development Corporation Chairman Nabadal Banik, Tripura Tea Development Corporation Chairman Samir Ghosh, and Information and Cultural Affairs Department Director Bimbisar Bhattacharya, along with other high-ranking officials. Sub-committees, including management and executive committees, have been established to ensure smooth operations for the fair’s success.
