Agartala, 1st March 2025 : A gang of thieves challenged the authority of North Tripura Superintendent of Police IPS Abhinash Rai and Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Police Officer B. Jorin Puiya by successfully carrying out burglaries in two separate houses on the same night. The incidents took place late last night in the Padmapur area under Dharmanagar police station.
It is reported that the Dharmanagar police received information about two burglaries on Madhubari Road and Harichanda Road in Padmapur early this morning. Upon receiving the news, Inspector Suleiman Reang and his team rushed to the scene to investigate.
Inspector Reang stated, “The thieves took advantage of the desolate atmosphere in the Madhubari area and looted cash and valuables worth ten thousand rupees from the house of Chanchala Talukdar. Additionally, in a separate incident on Harichanda Road, the thieves stole ten thousand rupees in cash, six bhori of silver, and other valuable items from the residence of Rupak Debnath.”
The local police have registered two separate cases and commenced an investigation into the burglaries. Inspector Reang assured that efforts are underway to apprehend the culprits and bring them to justice.
