Agartala, 7th April 2025: In a joint effort by the central and state governments, a training camp has been launched to promote self-reliance among the resettled Reang families in Bru-Ha Para under Ambassa sub-division. The initiative was organized by the Revenue Department and Skill Development Department of the Tripura Government, commenced today and will continue for 15 days, with training provided by the IITP Ambassa Branch.
The program will offer training to 340 participants in diverse skills, including pig farming, goat farming, poultry farming, woodworking, and candle making, among others. The goal is to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities and empower the community towards financial independence.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dhalai Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Sushmita Das, Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey, Dhalai district DM Saju Vaheed A, Ambassa SDM Sanjit Debbarma and IITP Ambassa Branch Manager Abhijit Debnath. The event was officially launched by lighting a ceremonial lamp.
Speaking at the event, the dignitaries emphasized the transformative potential of the training program. They expressed confidence that the initiative would pave the way for economic prosperity and self-reliance for every family in the community.
