Agartala, 29th April 2025: The district-level celebration of National Panchayat Raj Day 2025 took place today at the Swami Vivekananda Sardha Centenary Hall, organized by the North Tripura Zilla Parishad. The event commenced at 12 noon with the Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly Biswabandhu Sen inaugurating the program by sprinkling water on the roots of trees in a symbolic gesture.
Attendees included North Tripura District Magistrate Chandani Chandran, Uttar Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Aparna Nath, District Panchayat Officer Manoj Debbarma along with other dignitaries. The occasion featured impactful speeches highlighting the importance of the National Panchayat Raj system, its contributions to rural development, and future aspirations for its implementation.
The program witnessed participation from elected representatives and administrative officials representing various panchayat levels within the district.
